The International German American Police Association was formed in April of 1976, as an organization of Philadelphia Police Officers who wanted to further public knowledge of the many contributions made by German-Americans in the field of law enforcement. The officers wanted to create a spirit of fraternalism among members, their families and the community at large. The association grew in membership taking in various Federal, State and Local law enforcement officers, not only in Pennsylvania but many surrounding states and even as far as Germany. Meetings are on the second Monday of each month at the Canstatter Volkfest Verein located at 9130 Academy Road, Philadelphia Dinner is offered at 7pm with the meeting beginning at 8pm. Mission Statement Our aim is to promote a positive view of all Law Enforcement Officers along with the image of hardworking Americans who are proud of their German heritage.
