The International German American Police Association was formed in April of 1976, as an organization of Philadelphia Police Officers who wanted to further public knowledge of the many contributions made by German-Americans in the field of law enforcement. The officers wanted to create a spirit of fraternalism among members, their families and the community at large. The association grew in membership taking in various Federal, State and Local law enforcement officers, not only in Pennsylvania but many surrounding states and even as far as Germany. Today we have monthly meetings, a yearly picnic, an annual banquet and various other events.

Mission Statement

Our aim is to promote a positive view of all Law Enforcement Officers along with the image of hardworking Americans who are proud of their German heritage. We are a fraternal, social and educational association who believes in Pride in our Profession and our Heritage. This association has members throughout the tri-state area, across this great country and abroad. We are proud of the German contributions to America, in the fields of science, medicine, literature, engineering, music and more.
